Question of the post: For the Christians out there, waddaya think of retreats? Just for fun and fellowship? Are they stupid? Are they dangerous since you might focus on this more than your actual day-to-day interaction with God? Are they unproductive (and possibly misleading) in terms of spirituality or are they the emotional highpoint of it?

retreats are fun and it's a good experience. many people go through a lot during the retreat and it's a good thing but for me, i just go for fun. I know it's wrong but it's better than pretending like something's happening when it's not.

late reply to that question but i think retreats are fun. well, i've never been to one and i wish i had gone when i had my chances. its nice to get away from it all and be around brothers and sisters in christ once in a while. it may be be all in your head but you get a sense that the holy spirit has a stronger presence.
